Instructions For Using The Double Action Flag System

Option #1: With fish on flag goes down

Insert rounded end of adjustment spring (I) into top flag hole #1, from under side. Bring spring (I) around to front of adjustment lever (F), insert opposite end of spring (I) in top hole of adjustment lever (F). Insert rod (J) through eye screw (A), push all the way through, move flag about half way down, insert hook end of rod (J) in flag hole #1, where you just hooked the spring (I), as shown. Attach flag clip (K) to split ring (L), attach split ring to rod (J). To adjust tension, pullout slightly on adjustment lever, and move downward to increase tension; move lever up to decrease tension (you will feel it drop into the indentations).

Option #2: With fish on flag goes up

Insert rounded end of adjustment spring (I) into bottom flag holes #2 from under side. Bring spring (I) around to front of adjustment lever (F), insert opposite end of spring (I) into bottom hole of adjustment lever (F). Insert rod (J) through eye screw (A), push all the way through, move flag about halfway up, insert hook end of rod (J) into flag hole #2, where you just hooked the spring (I). Attach flag clip (K) to split ring (L), attach split ring (L) to rod (J). To adjust tension, pull out slightly on adjustment lever and move up to increase tension; move lever downward to decrease tension (you will feel it drop into the indentations).

Caution: Never move adjustment lever (I) more than 180 degrees from center position or damage to spring will occur.

To attach board and flag to line, let out desired distance you want to run lure from your board, put line in board clip, put line behind rear pin; leave about 2" of slack in line between board clip and flag clip. Flag will not work properly without slack in the line.
