The Shock Wave opens up so you can easily insert the herring strip. When closed the spike will penetrate the herring strip and hold it securely. This will eliminate the need for toothpicks and other holding devices. The 3 tension holes make it easy to adjust leader length. The curvature in the body can be increased or decreased for faster or slower rotation. Once installed on your line, changing the herring strip is as easy as 1-2-3.
