04/10/09 Hi folks,
Set lines just out of Pastrick, trolled to the hole in the wall with little action.
We then trolled to the second and third light and there the action was HOT!! The group took a five man limit of nice spring Coho.
On dodgers flashers flies and spoons.
Off of planer boards dipsy and riggers
We had a nice hook up on a screamer but lost it at the back of the boat.
Thru the day there were reports of some nice Kings and Browns boxed!
Dodgers: Stinger side kicks neon red, org/red tape, clown.Flashers: Church (standard/mini) grn/dbl crush white tape, blue/dbl crush white tape.
Flies: Rapture blue & grn fission, under tow, riptide, poseidon.
Spoons: Stinger (GOLD BLANKS*) grn bubble*,dbl org crush*,hard core orr, nitro perch, grn alewife.
Body Baits: tried them with no action.
Planer Boards: Church TX-12 5/8oz.keel sinker 4'leader,DF ONLY 15'back! Water was stained/dirty any more then 15'NO action!
Dipsy: #3setting 65# TUF-line 4'leader Flasher/fly, spoon 25'-30' on the counters.
Riggers: Cannon DF 4'-6'back 6'-10'down, spoons 10'-15'back 7'-12'down.
The past few weeks with all the strong storms the lake is very dirty/stained. We experimented with trolling speed from 1.8 to 2.4mph on the Humminbird GPS this seemed to work very well for us.
Now with all the boats out on the lake, Please make sure you have all the updated SAFETY equipment needed for your boat. I'm sure the DNR (CO's) will be out doing SAFETY checks, and it is not worth getting a ticket.
Have a Safe and Happy Easter!
God Bless
